In Virginia, an annual Department of Motor Vehicles inspection is required for all registered motor vehicles to assure their mechanical safety. Before operating a vehicle in Virginia, it must pass an annual safety inspection and display a valid safety inspection sticker. Your vehicle inspection can be obtained at any licensed Virginia car inspection station. Twin County Tire is licensed to provide a Virginia Car Inspection.
Vehicles must pass the inspection in order, or they cannot be driven after the sticker expiration date. In the event that a vehicle fails its safety inspection, drivers must make the necessary repairs and have the vehicle re-inspected. Drivers may request a single-trip permit to drive to the inspection station in the event that the inspection sticker date expires after the failed inspection, but before a follow inspection can be performed.
